FOR Communication 25/2019: Transparency of the elections to the National Council of the Judiciary: we have a final verdict!
The Supreme Administrative Court dismissed the cassation complaint of the Head of the Chancellery of the Sejm against the disclosure of letters of support for candidates for the new Council of the Judiciary.
- In the oral recitals to the judgment, the SAC stressed that the publication of part of the information on candidates for the new NCJ on the Sejm's website did not prevent the disclosure of other information upon request.
- The Head of the Sejm' Chancellery can already publish the names of judges supporting candidates for the new NCJ without waiting for a written justification.
- At least five other similar cases are still pending in the Supreme Administrative Court.
